Dunlending Killing Elves

Due to a recent time change on my part, it has been so much harder for Lissamay and I to be on at the same time, which obviously means no screenies or posts. Last week, though, Liss and I were in the Wold questing and killing warbands. We killed about four warbands and it was loads of fun. I got some fabulous action shots of Liss whilst in a Dunlending raider camp! -Makaia Seirika of Mirkwood, daughter of Lissamay

Low level alts and such

she is so very slow.   After taking screenshots on my low level new alt Erchelm, Liss and I decided to try to level him, and it was a success. Level 12 to level 15 in approx. 35 minutes or so. We (aka Liss) killed everything in sight while questing in the Midgewater Marshes, and while I finished up the last few Combe quests. waiting for the old lady to catch up.................................... It was back to cosmetic-ing, and Liss was waiting while I shopped in the Auction Hall. I can just imagine a sighing elf watching her daughter spend all her gold on clothing. -Mak

We're back..!!

After quite a hiatus from playing with one another (due to schedules and such).. LISSAIA (it seems our [friend] ship name that I made up on the spot.. don't you dare judge) IS BACK!! We spent a good deal of today's playing time catching up, but then we ended up killing some war-bands in eastern Rohan and it was loads of fun. I completely forgot to take screenshots until I was just about to log off.. but I think the screenie turned out well.. Makaia on left (mounted on Alderi), Lissamay on right (mounted on Calista). -Mak

Tales from long ago..

I took the screenie to document the bug in Bree, but this also shows Liss and I, plus Liss's friend Jras.  I was reviewing my screenshots, and I came across a few that documented Liss and I's long running friendship. To be honest, I'm almost embarrassed to post these, but only due to my absolute horrid screenshot taking skills. These demonstrate the day when I was scared to death of Evendim.. um, that was weird.  I was scared of Evendim... oookay These screenshots show though how long Liss and I have been playing, and I will continue to say I really enjoy playing with her. But oh, how I don't miss the days of miss-matched cosmetics and low levels.  Ah, I miss Volume I epic quests.  -Makaia

What do you know, more instances!

I thought this screenie was pretty beastly.  The real reason I have not updated this blog recently is because Liss and I haven't been doing much... um... except skirmish. Due to my eagerness to achieve level 72 and acquire my war-steed, we have been skirming everyday, and eventually, screenshots from the same six or so skirmishes might get ridiculously boring.  But hey, yesterday, we did something different! Aren't you proud of us?! We defeated a warband or two (yeah, I don't have my war-steed yet, don't judge), and then decided to help a friend out and do the Mirror Halls of Lumulnar, a classic Moria instance. It was loads of fun, and maybe Liss and I should do more instances.  Lissamay laughs at Makaia. -Makaia

Skirmish Mistresses of Middle-earth

*VOLUME III SPOILERS* like mother like daughter.. or one in the same??  *VOLUME III SPOILERS*  These screenshots are actually from Tuesday, but I completely forgot about them until I was posting my outfit for this week, and then I'm like "I haven't posted on Lissamay's Airways for a while.." So what have Liss and I been up to lately? Not much. As I took part in beta testing the past two weekends, I actually haven't been on Gladden much recently, and thus Liss and I haven't hung out much in-game lately. the Battle in the Tower.. Liss's favorite skirmish ever. thanks, priestess of flames for the fire  We have skirmed approximately 10 times in the past two days, though. From Dannenglor to Methedras, we have been the queens of skirming. Regular fainting day  It has become officially ingrained upon our memories how much we hate wretched falconers and well, wretched falconers (put shepherd of filth in there somewhere, too.) The past...

Truth is, I really hate dragons (and winding paths).

This is a documentation of me desperately trying to avoid the darn drakes.  The land of Enedwaith... is well, versatile. Liss decided to catch up on the epic quests and so we did them together, and it was quite an adventure. We encountered many dangerous things, such as hostile brigands of sorts, frustrated Dunlendings, and gwahir (dragons), tons of gwahir. In Liss's words: "The deer is drowning." Super pretty screenshot from the high reaches of Enedwaith. We were trying to match. It didn't really work.. There was this old library we found, and I completely freaked out (Liss can tell the story... she found it quite funny.)  Today's adventures revolve around Volume III, books 3 and 4 (though only the end of book 3, and the beginning of book 4.) We swam through a lot of rivers, saw a possibly drowning deer, and ran up a lot of cliffs, all the while turning in circles because my quest tracker was confusing me. "I'm coming, mo...

Maybe way too many instances in one day

Liss and I decided to have some quite random instance fun, and yes, it was indeed fun. We re-visited the Volume I epic quest instance Fire and Ice (we were helping a friend complete it), and later did Garth Agarwen Barrows. I always seem to forget how much FUN the older instances are. Not saying the newer instances aren't fun, but the old instances just contain so many.. well, memories.  hey, I'm in the campfire. Liss doesn't seem amused.   Fire and Ice, at least for me, was a very scary instance the first time I ever did. At the time, my brother and I (who were on level with the instance) decided to try it, and it didn't end very well. Now being way higher level than the instances, I'm realizing how much fun they are. Now I want to re-do all the Barrow Downs and Garth Agarwen instances :) Waiting for our little friend to start the instance on his part. We were sooo helpful, obviously ;)  Liss and I got to save the day, and kill a Nazgul, which was quite...

It is impossible to not shiver in Forochel

Hello, this is Makaia. For quite a while now, over six months, I have been playing LOTRO, alongside a lovely lady named Lissamay. She is super fun to play with, and is Makaia's adopted mother. She also (I think) likes to port me many places around Middle-earth, and we skirm tons. She also escorts me around when I need help with screenshots for my cosmetic blog, or when I just feel like going in danger (like today, when we skirted three warbands in Rohan... maybe a bad idea when I'm level 64?). A while ago, I told her that she runs Lissamay's Airways, of which its slogan is "porting you near and far around Middle-earth, for a low fee. Unless you're Makaia, then I'll do it for free 24/7", which is basically true. With Liss's permission, I thought to start this blog, and record our silly adventures, through screenshots, and humorous stories. Our never-ending This Girl is On Fire joke.  Liss and her fabulous warsteed. I suppose I need to fin...
